transiowa v.5 (short version)

i did it. 314 miles (plus however many ridden while lost). i think 11th overall. second ever to finish fixed. plenty of stories. long version in segments soon. this might be the most i've ever hurt in my life not counting injuries. countless people to thank for helping/supporting/making it possible. hopefully i'll get around to naming all of you.

Damn, you rule. I told my dad you finished. He said exactly this; "Over 300 miles on gravel!?! Wow. Fixed? And he didn't coast? Wow! Gravel! Please don't ever do that race. All gravel? He's nuts. Promises you won't do that. Wow. Gravel!"

Well Shocky,
I don't know you but I know your sister Amy. I must say when she told me about this I was very impressed! Congratulations to you! You really gotta want to do what you did in order to do it and you really went above and beyond in your sport, it seems! Way to go!
