trail work

got back on the trails today despite the looming expectations that my legs would still be trashed. i felt surprisingly good...or at least better than expected so i rode about twice as long as i intended to heading out. highlight of the day was realizing that someone has already been out to clean up little bighorn, dustbowl, north 40 and maybe more. i was off in my own world through gunnar and julia and didn't notice if that had gotten done yet or not. big thanks to whoever's gotten out there and gotten after it already. trails look great. time to get out and pay my dues in the next few days. IF YOU RIDE TRAILS...WORK TRAILS.

I am super glad Decorah has a dedicated core group of volunteers to build and maintain trails. That's no lie. These trails rock, at least the ones that the rest of us can ride.

But now that I've ridden Volga and Dana's Trails prior to Decorah trails, it appears I owe them work first... I have helped clear debris on Dana's Trails, so I guess I'll go ride there prior to Time Trials. Really won't help me get ready, but hey...

Does Park and Rec give out "you can ride because you worked the trails" buttons at City Hall?
