yes, the ballyhoo has been "canceled" but fear not...WE WILL THROW DOWN NEXT WEEKEND!!! camping in van peenen, tons of riding, possibly a fun enduro, way too much alcohol and an f-ing blast with or without vendors. bring your bike, whatever size and ride the shit out our trails. yes, the tornados and the floods have been bad but we have a great group of volunteers that have busted their collective asses to make our trails rideable and reclaim what we've lost. don't change plans just yet...we'll be doing our thing and we'd love for you to join us.

Hey Ben,
You guys RAWK!!!!!
See ya there!
Mojoe
honestly, i think this is gonna get out of hand (in the most righteous ways) even quicker given recent events. i've gone from massive disappointment to uncontainable excitement over the course of today. things will probably get broken, people might get hurt, and somewhere along the line it might have something to do with bikes.
When is Sov moving to Decorah?? If Sov is there, I predict a derby.
Mojoe
let's do this up right! do you have a figure 8 course? rubbing's racing
i think soon for sov, and as for the figure 8 and the derby...i think anything's possible at this point.
Camping still a viable option in your parts? Family may make the trip also. Haven't rode Decorah since Night shift a couple years ago....
camping in van peenen...its the northern/uppermost prairie in the trail system and very campable right now. drive up the gravel road from the gravel trucks and stay left til you see the park entrance, pack in from there. NOT a campground, but legal to camp. totally primitive, set a tent wherever, bring t.p., water, food, beer and a bike.
Ben... are talking about the park entrance where the trail goes up the hill to trail # 12? Just wondering if that's it or if its further up the road.
Thanks!
not sure where #12 is...if you start from #1 by bike, stay to the right up roller coaster and into death valley. stay right up the rocky road and it'll take you up to van peenen. at some point take a right and you'll end up in the prairie. open your tent and throw down. otherwise, start at #1 by car and drive up the gravel hill, stay left at the firt quarry, park at the second, walk/ride in the main park entrance til you get into the prairie and repeat above. call the shop or my cell if you've got questions. 563.380.4791
